Tool 1
When I was in junior high it was cool to have a type of blog called a Xanga. All of my friends would type a daily message about what they were currently doing and not much more than that. Creating a Xanga is a lot like creating a blogger. I found the process to be fairly simple and got a little carried away with posting pictures of my dog. I could incorporate this into my classroom by giving my students an open ended question and having them respond by blogging. I feel like this would give the shy or timid students a chance to really shine. Also, by having my students blog, they would get to read many points of views by reading their peers' responses.
